In reference to article "Clint's Views": I appreciate your thoughts about making art that honors God and is meaningful and useful for God's purposes. (I also have a story about artwork and that passage from Isaiah). I did a pencil/charcoal drawing of an eagle's head 3/4 view for my dad. In calligraphy I included the scripture on the artwork below the drawing. I talked with him (over the phone)when he received it. He loved it, then 2 days later he died. It was displayed at his funeral, next to his casket. Soon after I gave the drawing to my older brother because he asked for it. My brother died a couple of years later due to illness. The drawing was returned to me after a while by his wife. I gave it to my twin brother a couple of years ago, he has it now. On a side note, one by one, my family near and distant have come to know God through the years. Your writing encouraged me and reminds that God can use our frail efforts. This year I am asking God to show me what to paint or make to honor God and be used for good. It sounds like we are working in the same vein. What a gift and pleasure it is. God bless you and take care, Joan Alsworth Bacon
